Arizona Desert Course
Released
Be sure to try our new 18-hole golf course, set in the
beautiful Southwestern deserts of Arizona. Along with the new course comes
several improvements in game reliability and the voice chat system.

announce that the much anticipated feature of in-game voice chat has been
released! Using this new technology you can chat with your friends from around
the world while you play through your round of golf. Be on the look out for some

latest release of our golf game that includes tons of improvements including an
all new course and a driving range! Always committed to delivering the best
multiplayer golf game experience on the internet, the golf team works
continuously on stability improvements and new features such as VOIP. The latest
release of the golf game includes:

September 1st, 2006 The Golden Fairway
team is proud to announce the release of a Labor Day patch! We hope you all
enjoy playing over the weekend, and we're now extending the ability to players
to play their free holes in Multiplayer Games as well as single player! The
entire patch notes for this release are as follows:
- NEW - Players can now play the first 3 (or 6) holes of Multiplayer games for
free! This means you can play by yourself or with up to three friends from
around the world at absolutely no cost to you.
- NEW - Added a Profile Tab to the Game Lobby. From this tab you can enter a
user description, manage your Friends list and Ignore list, and view your game
statistics. In the near future you will also be able to select or upload an
Avatar for use in the game!
- NEW - Added a time limit to swings in Multiplayer games. Each player will
now have 45 seconds to take their shot. If a player fails to take their shot in
the allotted time then play will proceed past them. If a player continues to run
out of time on consecutive swings, he can be forced to forfeit the hole with a
score of double par.
- NEW - More informative ads will now be seen around the golf course.
Including ads to remind players to check the website for tournament statistics
and rankings.
- IMPROVED - Wording on many user interface screens has been revised to be
easier to follow.
- IMPROVED - The tournament game screens have been retouched to give them
easier flow and better understandability.
- FIXED - A networking issue where certain internet connections (especially
wireless) could not connect to the game servers.
- FIXED - Only certain games being played would appear on the list of games in
the lobby. Now the Game Lobby list will include all games.
- FIXED - Corrected a few hole distances on the scorecard to more accurately
reflect actual hole yardage.
- FIXED - A player could shoot more than double par, this has now been fixed
and the highest score a player can ever receive is double par.
- FIXED - A spectator could not see the distance to the candy cane for the
active player.
- FIXED - The F11 key would not successfully trigger an animation.
- FIXED - It was possible to create a game that no one could enter.
- FIXED - It was possible to receive an error message about a duplicated game
name after successfully creating that game.
- FIXED - Ad spots 4 and 5 could only rotate 3 ads, they can now rotate 10 as
designed.
- FIXED - Fixed a host of minor gameplay and user interface bugs.

features that were absent in the last beta release of the game, as well as
improve on just about every feature that was included before.

It's
important to note that this latest release of Golden Fairway is still a BETA
release, and not the final product. This means that you can still run into some
problems and errors running the game. We've done our best to minimize these,
however, and each new release will eliminate more and more of these issues. If

MVP Online would like to welcome everyone to the new home and look of
Golden Fairway. The big news for today is obviously the release of the Golden
Fairway beta! You can download the beta from the download link on the menu to
the left, but you MUST have received a gamecode in order to sign up and play the
game. This new beta version has a slew of new features that have been added to
the game, including:
- In-game Advertising Spots Showcased
- Revised Gameplay Including Improved Physics
- All 18 Holes of the Canadian Rockies Course
- New Art and Animations Including a Female Golfer
- Improved Sound Effects
- Player Information Tracking - Scores, Settings, and Account Information
- Secure Play Features
- Login Required to Play
While the developers have been hard
at work implementing all these new features, there are still many that are still
in progress. These features won't function in the beta.

Download/Install The Game To Get Started
Use the menu
link on the left to download the Golden Fairway Beta (If you haven't already
done so). If you are using Windows XP and the download dialog does not appear,
look at the yellow message bar at the top and follow the instructions given.
When asked to "Run" or "Save", choose "Run." The download will begin. As soon as
the download is finished, the installation program will run. The installation
program will prompt you for some information and install Golden Fairway on your
computer.
Register An Account
Click on the Register option on
the menu to the left. Or, If you like, you can run the game and use the Register
Now button. Either option will bring you to the account registration screen.
Fill out all the information as prompted, and you will be registered and ready
to play!
Play!
Once you've registered an account you're ready to
get in and play. Just double click the new Golden Fairway icon on your desktop
anytime you want to run the game. We recommened that you quit all other
applications before playing to have the best experience possible.
December 21st, 2005 MVP Online is proud to
announce the release of the Golden Fairway Single Hole Demo. The demo contains
one preview hole that highlights the graphics and playability that we are trying
to achieve with Golden Fairway. In addition, the demo showcases the flexible
advertising model available for corporate sponsors of the game. Enjoy.
July 22nd, 2005 Using the latest in 3D game
engine technology, developers at MVP Online have created the first playable demo
of the new Golden Fairway 3D golf game. This version has one golfer with over 70
animations. The animations were performed by a professional golfer in a special
motion capture suit and were filmed by infrared cameras at an offsite studio.
The first golf course has been constructed from real US Geological topographical
data with a professionally photographed backdrop of a real golf course in the
Canadian Rockies. The new game is also enabled with dynamic advertising for each
hole.
